Robert Barca is a freelance photographer from Bratislava, Slovakia. While completing his MSc degree in International Relations and Development, he studied in Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and China. He is currently enrolled in a BA program at the Institute of Creative Photography of the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic. He gained his first experience with reportage photography while working at a Slovak weekly magazine .týždeň. His photographs have been published in a number of Slovak and Czech media outlets. His work has been recognized in Slovak Press Photo and Czech Press Photo competitions. His main focus lies in reportage and documentary photography.
